Analysis

The return to racing of Emma Norsgaard is the biggest headlines as the women’s Movistar Team starts another Flemish tournée, already with De Ronde in the horizon, on Thursday 24th March with the longest WWT race in the calendar: the Brugge – De Panne classic, an event with nearly more kilometers (162km) than meters of elevation gain (less than 200).

After a 70km point-to-point initial sector, always close to the sea, the race covers two final laps of 45km each, in Koksijde, Veurne, Adinkerke and the finishing town. The most relevant thing about this loop is De Moeren, a very long, narrow straight where echelons are usually formed and the group is reduced. However, and even if a solo rider made it to the finish in 2021 -Grace Brown, ahead of Emma-, the most likely scenario is a sprint finish.
