Male Team 30 Mar
Dwars door Vlaanderen
120 Kilometers
The race will be broadcast live almost in full on Eurosport and GCN, starting at 1230 CEST.
Annemiek van Vleuten is back! With her first altitude training block of the season in Tenerife now complete, the best rider in the peloton will pin a number on his back again at Dwars door Vlaanderen, looking to defend her brilliant success from 2021 at an event whose route has significantly changed from last year’s course.
Tough, cobbled sections, such as Taaienberg or Steenbeekdries, have been removed, and the key points of the race are quite apart, distributed over the whole route – and quite away from the finish. Starting and finishing in Waregem, the route includes ten climbs and five ‘kasseien’, including the last cobbled sectors of Doorn (91km) and Herlegemstraat (108km), which, together with the ascent to Holstraat, just 8km from the end, mark the last chance for attacks, together with the Knokteberg (68km) and Ladeuze (82km).
