Giro dell'Emilia
103.5 Kilometers
To celebrate its tenth edition, the Giro dell’Emilia adds a second ascent to the Santuario di San Luca in Bologna, its traditional finish in previous years yet originally preceded by no other climbs.
After a flat, opening 90km, surely with a lot of nerves in the bunch, the riders will tackle 2km of tough, continuous slopes, especially a 200m straight at 20% after what’s known as the ‘Curva delle Orfanelle’. Watch out for the terrain after the first climb with 9km to go, as another short, steep slope, Via Casaglia, will be tackled before getting back to the city and taking on the last climb.
