Bretagne Classic - Plouay
259.8 Kilometers
A big portion of the race will be broadcast uninterruptedly through MAX, starting at 12.40pm CEST.
The removal of the ‘ribin’, the traditional Brittany paths with greenery in the middle of the carriageway, is the main change of the 2024 Bretagne Classic, whose other characteristic features remain: endless little climbs -more than 50, according to the organisers-, direction changes and narrow roads for an event again over 4,000m elevation gain – despite which some fast finishers could still survive at Plouay’s finish.
The lack of a breaking point, such as the gravel, makes the final circuit decisive again. Only one lap will be taken, with three ascents: Rostervel (1.5km at 4.5%) and the chain of Le Lezot (900m at 5.4%) with Kerscoulic (225m at 8.9%), the latter crested just over 3km from the end. The sprint will require the riders to measure their efforts well: the slight kick uphill makes choosing the right gearing difficult, and requires extra strength.
