Cyclassics Hamburg

Always considered one of the best chances for sprinters in the WorldTour, yet never lacking any excitement. The ascents to the Waseberg, the characteristic climb in the Hamburg Cyclassics, always add uncertainty to an event otherwise expected to see a ‘volata’ at the end.

The 800m al 8%, with maximum slopes of twenty per cent, are crested three times into the final third of racing: the first passage is 63km from the line, prior to reaching the finish in Mönckebergstrasse for the first time, then another two consecutive climbs are covered with 24 and 16k to go, respectively.
