Analysis

Over a route very similar to the one from its first edition in 2023, the UAE Tour Women offers the Movistar Team its first chance at WorldTour racing this year, in what’s also their longest trip and the only visit away from European soil in 2024.

The wind will be the main danger on stage two, from Al Mirfa to Madinat Zayed (Friday 9th), located between two way more predictable sprints in urban areas at Abu Dhabi (Sunday 11th) and Dubai’s opener (Thursday 8th). The main reference, though, will remain the Jebel Hafeet climb (Saturday 10th), 11km at 6.8% avg. with a maximum 9% and a more generous final kilometer.
