The penultimate weekend of European racing for the Movistar Team will come to its close on Sunday 7th October with the 23rd edition of the GP Beghelli, an event which – just like the Giro dell’Emilia – is held in the province of Bologne, starting and finishing in Monteveglio – venue for the headquarters of the race’s sponsor, a lighting company – and including two circuits, the most notable around the Zappolino (10 laps).
Each of those final loops, 13.3km in length each – the race is held over a total 196.3 kilometers -, contains a 1.5km climb at 6% gradient. The continuous ups and downs will try to avoid a group sprint at the end – a scenario which is also less likely so late in the season.
