GP Larciano
199.7 Kilometers
After a gap year due to the pandemic, the Italian calendar will again feature, in its third event of the season, a beautiful Tuscan semiclassic, the GP Larciano, which has often played in recent years as sort of an ‘apethizer’ between Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico.
It’s quite an open race, with chances for both the climbers, the allrounders or even some resistant sprinters who can cope with the four laps of the final circuit.
The ascents to Fornello / San Baronto, with just over 3km at 6% average followed by seven kilometers of gentler ramps, are crested with 6km to go, which offers the ones with good downhill skills a chance to prevail.
