La Course
107.7 Kilometers
The race will be broadcast live in full on Eurosport 1 and GCN, at 8.15am CEST
La Course bids farewell from the international calendar in 2021 as it will be replaced, starting in 2022, by the Tour de France. Before the first edition of that new era, the French event will take advantage from the start and finish of stage one in the men’s ‘Grande Boucle’ to tackle a route unmistakably ‘Brétonne’, hilly and demanding.
The 107km parcours between Brest and Landerneau will feature the Côte de Trébéolin (900m at 5.1%) right before the start, before four final laps around the Côte de la Fosse aux Loups (3km at 5.7%), with maximum gradients of 14% and a quite flatter section before the line. The climbers and punchy finishers will thus contest victory in this heterodox WorldTour race.
