Analysis

Placed between the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Route d’Occitanie, the one-day race towards the Mont Ventoux will feature the Movistar Team in their startlist for the first time in its history, the Blues set to bring two of their main names – Enric Mas and Miguel Ángel López – as they seek for a good result in the ‘Giant of Provence’.

The parcours offers 4,400 meters of elevation gain in just 154 kilometers, with the Madeleine, La Gabelle (10km at 4.2%) and the Rocher du Cire (18km, with gentle slopes) as prelude of the two Ventoux climbs: one from Sault (24.3km at 5%), then a tougher finish (21km at 8.7%) through its most traditional side of Bédoin.
