Scheldeprijs
138.1 Kilometers
A welcome return, in its second edition, to the women’s version of one of the Belgian races that calls itself as a ‘World Championship for sprinters’. Less demanding when it comes to cobbled sectors, the main difficulty of the Scheldeprijs will be the technical sections as sprinters -such as Emma Norsgaard, this time absent after her 2nd place in 2021- battle to secure another group finish in Schoten.
Before getting to the final circuit (3 laps of 17km each), riders will have to deal with several wind-exposed areas. It will be there, together with a series of technical zones, where the race could split with attacks and echelons before the end. At the final loop, two short cobbled sectors will spice things further up.
