The Vuelta a Castilla y León returns to its stagerace format with two days of racing between the provinces of Zamora and Salamanca.
Stage one between Benavente and Morales del Vino (Wednesday 27) will feature plenty of short hills, scorching warm conditions, a chance of crosswinds and a 3% slope just before the finish, in what’s expected to be a day for the sprinters or a breakaway.
A day later (Thursday 28th), riders will tackle quite a hillier route, 190km around Guijuelo with several longer climbs, which will surely split the peloton.
