Analysis

Welcome back, Jelena Erić! The Serbian champion from the Movistar Team leaves behind at De Brabantse Pijl a long recovery from an arm injury, and will join a Blue roster mixing elements from the Northern and Ardennes classics – which is exactly what this Belgian event is about, with many different kinds of riders standing a chance of victory.

The route is exactly the same as in 2022. The final three-and-a-half lap circuit around Overijse includes five climbs: Hagaard (300m at 10%), Hertstraat (cobbled; 700m at 4%), Moskesstraat (also cobbled; 500m at nearly 8%), Holstheide (1km at 5%) and the climb near the finish, known with the name of ‘S turn’ (S-bocht), due to its picturesque form from the chopper view. It’s 1.3km at 4%, right before taking on the finishing straight.
