Analysis

Brought back one week from last year’s schedule, the Canadian WorldTour races will not clash with La Vuelta this year, while also becoming an excellent test for the legs just before the Zürich Worlds.

The route is very well known, with 16 laps of a 12.6km loop and almost 3,000 meters of vertical gain for a quite open contest. Four are the climbs to be tackled in every lap: La Montagne -the most demanding, over 375m at 10%-; La Potasse, 420m at 9%; the short ascent of La Fabrique (some 200m at 7%); and, chained with the prior, the long drag towards the finish in the Grande Allée, 1km at 4%.
