Analysis

Even if no cobbled sectors are featured on the route, the Classic Brugge – De Panne marks the beginning of the Movistar Team’s long batch of races, five events in total, on Belgian soil towards the Ronde van Vlaanderen on Sunday 31st. A race where the wind and the sprinters are the two big protagonists.

The biggest opportunity to split the field into the final three local laps (43.9km each) is the famous De Moeren straight, completely exposed against the wind, where the gusts usually make for interesting moves. It is located just 12km from every passage through the line.
