Dwars door Vlaanderen

Still remembering vividly the sensational performance from Oier Lazkano last year in Waregem to claimn his first podium in a cobbled Flemish classic, the Movistar Team will be back on Wednesday 27th March to the last hurdle before ‘De Ronde’, over a route with not so famous climb, yet equally as challenging.

Eight cobbled sectors and twelve ascents are featured in Dwars door Vlaanderen, with 2x the Knokteberg / Côte de Trieu and two climbs to Nokere, one of them through the illustrious urban cobbles. The last forty kilometers, part of the final loop around Waregem, link those ascents with four ‘kasseien’, the last of which, Herlegemstraat, will be located just 6km from the end.
