Analysis

In its sixth edition, the Clásica de Navarra is slightly redifining its spirit, maybe in a decisive way, as short, sharp climbs are the main feature of the 2024 course while El Perdón, its longest, most famous ascent in previous years, is omitted.

There will be nine hills, all of them with maximum percentages over 10%. The first 80km include five of these: Olaverri, Tiebas, Biurrun, Añorbe and the picturesque Artajona, on cobblestones. The last 40km feature the four decisive climbs: Obanos, the ‘long’ Tirapu, a second passage over Biurrun and the new Arlegui, crested just 10km from an always-slightly-uphill arrival to the city of Pamplona.
