Analysis

Over a short route -93km between Bétera, a new start for the race, and the Valencian capital-, yet demanding with the climbs of Oronet and most importantly Frontera early in the event, the Vuelta CV Féminas marks the Movistar Team’s third challenge of the season, hugely motivated by their victories in Colombia and Almería and defending their 2023 title with Floortje Mackaij.

Almost contiguous, the two climbs will be crested with 68 and 44km to go, respectively. Frontera features no less than 5km at 9%, with a central section of two-and-a-half kilometers close to 11%. That’s terrain more than enough for climbers to take the better from the sprinters, then play their cards in the wind-exposed finale.
