‘It’s the final countdown’ to the start of the 2020 Tour de France in Nice for the Movistar Team, which will complete on Friday, with the traditional press conference -4pm CEST, remote- in front of a group of media forced to follow the Telefónica-backed squad from the distance, the pre-race events before the ‘Grande Boucle’ kicks off on Saturday.

Valverde, Mas, Soler, Erviti, Cataldo, Oliveira, Verona, Rojas and reserves Pedrero and Roelandts completed in the last few days their final training rides in the Côte d’Azur, a recon of the demanding two opening stages around Nice. The Blues have been following all health precautious to reach Saturday in optimal conditions.

Thursday evening, the Blues took part in the teams’ presentation, in front of a limited crowd attendance, at Nice’s Place Masséna, the start of a ‘Grand Départ’ that will end on Monday, as stage three goes into more interior roads and towards Sisteron.
