New racing equipment for next season

Telefónica-backed squad's biggest men and women's stars sport new jersey they will wear as of January, in their 43rd season in pro cycling.

Just a couple of weeks away from officially starting their new adventure together, La Passione and the Movistar Team officially unveiled on Wednesday the kit the Telefónica-backed squad will wear during the 2022 season. A video spearheaded by six of the Blues’ main riders -Annemiek van Vleuten, Emma Norsgaard, Sara Martín, Alejandro Valverde, Enric Mas and Matteo Jorgenson- was the choice of the Spanish team and the premium cycling clothing brand to show the new jersey that will be used as of January.

Suited to Telefónica’s recent corporate image revamp, presented over the last few months, the Movistar Team’s racing kit brings back the navy blue colours they used for their jersey for most of the company’s title sponsorship (2011 to 2017). The always-prominent ‘M’, now in light blue, dominates the scene, as the Telefónica Tech logo, first used in the 2021 kit, returns to the side and shoulders of a jersey with a distinctive, significant change for its collar, tighter and more modern. The other remarkable change are the stripes, also in a light color, covering a big portion of the jersey and reinforcing the dynamic spirit of this new kit.

Other than the men’s and women’s squads -whose debut is expected for the Mallorca Challenge, for the male side, starting January 26th; and the Vuelta CV Féminas, for the women’s squad, on February 6th-, La Passione will also support the Movistar eTeam, the esports / virtual cycling team of the Spanish organisation, both in real life and on Zwift, with the winter season of the 2021-22 Zwift Racing League scheduled for mid January.

Details on availability of the 2022 Movistar Team kit by La Passione will be announced in due course.
