Sporting the ‘Iceberg’ kit their team-mates already wore earlier this month at the men’s Tour de France, the Movistar Team riders aspire to continue leaving their mark in a successful 2023 during the 2nd edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, which starts from Clermont Ferrand on Sunday 23rd July.

The group managed by Sebastián Unzué -with Jorge Sanz and Jürgen Roelandts as sports directors- will again rely on the quality of Annemiek van Vleuten, who comes into the start out of any pressure after her victories in La Vuelta Femenina and the Giro Donne. Emma Norsgaard, Liane Lippert, Aude Biannic, Floortje Mackaij, Paula Patiño and Sheyla Gutiérrez complete the seven-woman lineup for the ‘Grande Boucle’.

The French grandtour will be decided in 2023 on its two final stages, with the peloton taking on the Aspin and the Tourmalet on Saturday 29th before a 22km ITT in and around Pau defines the GC result on Sunday 30th. Days two -six rated ascents towards Mauriac- and four -almost 180km towards Rodez- also promise to shake up the bunch.
