There will be live images on Eurosport (1 + 2), GCN + France 3 for French viewers. Broadcast will start at 15.00 CEST (weekdays), 15.15 (final weekend) and 13.30 (first Sunday).
There will be 10-6-4″ at every road stage finish, plus 3-2-1″ at the intermediate sprints.
Eusebio Unzué’s organisation has five overall victories in the Dauphiné: two with Miguel Indurain (1995, 1996), another two with Alejandro Valverde (2008, 2009) and one with Armand de las Cuevas (1998).
Following the ‘prelude’ of the Boucles de la Mayenne, which brought the Movistar Team a satisfactory result with the GC podium from Alex Aranburu, the Tour de France-approach calendar reaches its most significant stop with the Critérium du Dauphiné. The Alpine race features in 2022 a 31km ITT -Wednesday 8th, from Montbrison to La Bâtie d’Urfé-, located between several mid- and high-mountain stages.
To be looked with special attention from those will be three stages. Tuesday 7th, just before the time trial, there will be an uphill finish in Chastreix-Sancy (Cat-2; 6km at almost 6%). On Saturday 11th, riders will end in Vaujany (Cat-2) after two legendary climbs like the Galibier (HC) and the Croix de Fer (HC). And to end things on Sunday 12th, the race will head to Savoie and the Plateau de Solaison (HC), following previous climbs to Plainpalais (Cat-1), Leschaux (Cat-3) and la Colombière (Cat-1).
