Le Samyn
99.4 Kilometers
The final hour of racing will be broadcast on Eurosport and GCN, at 1400 CET.
They call it ‘the most Flemish of the Walloon races‘, and that’s something which makes justice to its character, with its narrow, lumpy roads and most notably its numerous cobbled sectors, in an area of Belgium quite close to the roads where Paris-Roubaix takes place. All of that makes Le Samyn des Dames quite challenging, while also giving some hope to certain kids of sprinters.
It is, however, a very short race, only 99km between Quaregnon and a circuit around Dour (26km, three laps) featuring four cobbled sections: Le Roquette (500m, **), Chémin de Wiheries (400m, **), Côte des Nonettes (300m, ***) and Rue Belle Vue (500m, ***). The last section will be completed just 2.6km from the finish line.
