Analysis

Back to WorldTour activity and also back to Belgium after the only parentheses of the previous Sunday’s Trofeo Binda, the Movistar Team tackles on Thursday 23rd March one of the most tense, difficult races in the world calendar, its profile hard to interpret and hiding countless dangerous points.

The strong winds -especially in the De Moeren straight, completely exposed, inside the final laps-, the nerves, the danger inherent to Belgian roads and the ultra-high speeds make that, at least in the women’s event, a sprint must not be taken for granted, even if it’s obviously the most likely scenario at the end of the 163 km (quite a long event for WWT standards).
