Ronde van Vlaanderen
158 Kilometers
The race will be broadcast live on the Eurosport App and GCN from 3pm CEST, with conventional TV turning to the women’s race at around 5pm CEST.
We’ve already won here, guys and gals! What a day in 2021 when we celebrated our first ever Flanders together with Annemiek van Vleuten. Won’t easily forget that.
Heading into the start of the Ronde van Vlaanderen wearing the rainbow jersey isn’t a minor thing. Considering it’s also your last ever ‘Vlaanderens Mooiste’ appearance; in a race you’ve already won twice; your sole existence becoming a key factor on how the event will unfold – it all makes for an exciting ‘De Ronde’ if you follow it from the perspective of Annemiek van Vleuten and the Movistar Team.
‘De Hoogmis’ will again be one of the toughest events in the calendar – even if, in the case of the women’s event, only one climb to the Oude Kwaremont / Paterberg will be done -the last two climbs, completed with 11km to go-. The decisive part starts with the tough, tricky, trascendental Molenberg (80km), after which nine other ascents will follow. The other key section, before the OK/P, will be the 9km between the Koppenberg (113km) and the Taaienberg (122km), brutal and impossible to keep under control.
