Vårgårda Team Time Trial
35.6 Kilometers
The villages of Vårgårda and Herrljunga, in southwest Sweden, will again hold a double round of UCI Women’s WorldTour action opening a very intense ten days of racing in Scandinavia.
The first race of the weekend is a demanding 35km TTT, featuring plenty of world-class specialists in a race which, paradoxically, has nearly disappeared from the UCI calendar in 2019: only two competitions in the WWT including a team time trial.
A series of gentle climbs, including a longer one with 12km to go -with slopes around 3%-, could break the pace of the team in an otherwise straight, flat course, with the wind and rain (torrential in 2018) as only major added factors to make for a more selective race. The road race will be held a day later, on Sunday 18th.
