Male Team 03 Apr
Dwars door Vlaanderen
108.3 Kilometers
The Movistar Team’s Flemish ‘tournée’ resumes in the beginning of April with a non-WorldTour race, with a softer route than the previous ones, yet probably as lively and interesting. 108km with six ascents and three cobbled sectors is the short summary of what Dwars door Vlaanderen can offer – though the weather, dreadful in 2018 and probably more generous this time around, could be even more significant for the outcome than the route itself.
Following the ascents to the Kluisberg (53km) and the Knokteberg (60km) halfway through the race, the hardest point of the course will be jammed into the finale: the Varent cobbles (83km), the climbs to Vossenhol (88km) and Holstraat (92km) and the pavé of the Nokereberg (99km), already covered at the Nokere Koerse and really close to the finish, combined with another, last cobbled segment, the Herlegemstraat (102km).
