Analysis

The Vuelta a Burgos will be a UCI Women’s WorldTour event for the second year on a row with a very balanced route, which offers chances to all kinds of riders without leaving behind its main identity sign: the grand finale atop the Lagunas de Neila (Sundy 22nd), where the climbers will battle for glory.

The fastest women in the peloton will have two chances in Aranda de Duero (Thursday 19th), hometown of Sara Martín, and Aguilar de Campoo (Friday 20th), the first ever finish of the race outside its home province. Before Neila, an uphill sprint will be contested on the slopes of Ojo Guareña (Saturday 21st).
