Analysis

This is not like every edition of the Vuelta CV Féminas to date. The bunch sprint had become the major characteristic of the Valencian event, such was the end result of the four previous years, yet a significant variation to its route -in an otherwise unchanged start (Paterna), finish (Valencia) and mileage (not even 100km!)- promises to make for an exciting race on Sunday 5th February in the morning.

The 2023 parcours will again include the Alt de l’Oronet (8.3km, 3.7%) early on, combined with the new Alto Frontera: 5km at 9.2%, crested with 42km to go. It’s hard enough to really split the peloton, give the climbers a chance and create an interesting run-in towards a new finishing straight, next to the famous Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències of Valencia.
