The E3 Harelbeke, only one from the cobbled races in the two weeks prior to ‘De Ronde’ not organised by Flanders Classics, will again play as one of the appetizers before the Ronde van Vlaanderen on Sunday 31st, with several from the usual climbs in the biggest event.
The race will surely start to split from the Kortekeer (121km, 86k to go) and most importantly the Taaienberg (126km, 81k to go), with its tough slope and its wind-exposed plain right afterwards.
From there, ten ascents will still remain, four of which with cobblestones, including the chain of climbs likely to be decisive: Paterberg (-43km) and Oude Kwaremont (-40km), here placed in reverse order compared to the Tour of Flanders.
