Analysis

Over a route placed further south from last year’s, the third edition of Women Cycling Pro Costa de Almería will mark the Movistar Team’s second stop of the 2024 season, after visiting the podiums of the brandnew Challenge Mallorca.

The 121km course will be quite a demanding one, with a usual start -Campohermoso (Níjar)- yet a new finish, in Mojácar Pueblo, over a final 1.5km at 7% and double-digit slopes near the end.

To reach there, two non-rated ascents will be tackled before three categorized climbs: Mirador de la Amatista (Cat-3), Las Hortichuelas (Cat-2; central section with 1.5km at 8%) and Mirador de la Granadilla (Cat-2; 2.2km at 6%), strategically placed with 30km to go.
