Eurosport and GCN will broadcast the final part of every stage live.
There will be 10-6-4″ at every finish + 3-2-1″ at the intermediate sprints.
The 2023 UCI Women’s WorldTour starts for the Movistar Team with a big new feature in the calendar, the first event of its kind in the Middle East. The UAE Tour doesn’t lack any of the characteristic notes from its men’s counterpart, covering stages in both the Emirates’ big cities and the desert.
Three of its four stages will be suited to the sprinters. The finishes in Dubai (Thursday 9th) and Abu Dhabi (Sunday 12th) will be mostly tackled on urban roads, while the one to Al Mirfa (Friday 10th) will be more exposed to the wind. However, each of them will be challenging when it comes to crosswinds, stress and speed.
The GC outcome will otherwise be decided on Saturday 11th, with the traditional finish up Jebel Hafeet. It’s a 11km ascent on really open roads, 6.8% average and slopes up to 9%, with an easier final kilometer. The best climbers will have their say there.
