GP Québec
201.6 Kilometers
Eurosport and GCN will broadcast the race, which, just like in previous editions, will have lights-to-flag coverage.
It’s almost the last group of WorldTour races which were yet to return after the pandemic. With the only exceptions of the Tour Down Under -set to come back in 2023- and the Tour of Guangxi -with no estimate for its return, as it was still cancelled for 2022-, the Canadian WT events were the only ones still out of the so-called post-covid cycling calendar until now.
When it comes to its format, the GP Québec -followed, two days later, by the GP Montréal– remains the same as in 2019: 16 laps of a 12.6km loop that makes for just over 200km. Four will be the ascents to be overcome at each lap: La Montagne -the steepest one, with 375m at 10%-; La Potasse, 420m at 9%; the short slope of La Fabrique (barely 200m at 7%); and, right after the prior one, the ascent towards the finish in the Grande Allée, 1km at 4%.
