Male Team 18 - 21 May
Vuelta a Burgos
467 Kilometers 4 Stages
Live pictures will be available on Eurosport and GCN, at 2.30pm CEST every day. There will also be a live stream on www.vueltaburgos.com.
There will be 10-6-4″ at every finish, plus 3-2-1″ at the intermediate sprints.
With no significant alternative to the Lagunas de Neila (Sunday 21st) which the Vuelta a Burgos usually offered at uphill finishes like Ojo Guareña, the legendary climb next to Quintanar de la Sierra will again be the reference of a race where crosswinds and bonus seconds should be the main factors before the last stage.
Other than the expected winds on the early stages -especially into day one to Medina de Pomar (Thursday 18th)-, a first point of reference for the GC contenders should be the short (300m), steep (8%) finishing slope in Lerma (Friday 19th), next to the Ducal Palace. Saturday 20th will see the riders cover the Ribera del Duero lands towards the finish in Aranda, home of Blue rider -and former winner of this race as a youth competitor-, Sara Martín.
