Vuelta a Murcia
183.5 Kilometers
There will be live pictures of the race on Eurosport, GCN and 7TV Región de Murcia, at 4.15pm CET.
Using the same scheme as in 2022 while adding an interesting uphill finish in Cartagena’s Parque Torres, the Vuelta a Murcia reaches its 43th edition as the opener of a trio of races in southern Spain, that includes the next day’s Clásica de Almería and the Jaén Paraíso Interior classic on Monday.
As we said, the route will be quite similar to last year’s, with the Cresta del Gallo (Cat-3; 39km) in the beginning; the demanding Collado Bermejo (HC; 106km) as ‘guide’ of the race halfway through; and the intricate Cedacero (Cat-3) just 17km from the end. The finishing slope is 700m at 4.5%, a bit steeper until 300m to go (6%).
