Analysis

The Gran Piemonte has turned out to be quite an eclectic race in previous years, sometimes suited to the sprinters -such as in 2022, when Iván García Cortina won- and also good for punchy climbers, as it happened last year. Again, the end result in 2024 will be quite unpredictable, though the fast finishers will most probably have their say.

The climb to the Passo della Colma, 62km away from the finish in Borgomanero, will be the day’s main obstacle, though not the last, as the small climbs of Cremosina (-41km) and Traversagna (-25km) will further add intensity before the eleven-kilometer finishing circuit, a rolling one with no big ramps.
