Movistar Team becomes the best cycling squad in the world after claiming their third best season tally -32 victories, in nine of the ten months of racing and with up to ten differenty riders-. Four stage victories in the Giro -with Intxausti, Dowsett and a ‘reborn’ Visconti-, three in the Tour, two GT podium -Valverde’s 3rd in the Vuelta a España and Quintana’s 2nd in the Grande Boucle, where he becomes a national hero and a world reference with his KOM jersey and stage win atop Semnoz-, four national titles -including the RR Spanish race for Herrada, the youngest champion in nine decades- and the icing on top of the cake: the rainbow jersey for Rui Costa.
